A Snuggle in the Rain

A Princess away,

It always swayed hardly showing

Someone away wouldn’t care to a flowing

But he knew she was but a princess

Lost in a land waiting for a chance of recess.

The dawn had already spread its wing

As he woke early despite the spring

The day promise of a treasure was away

Baby dove finally came with some snatchers at bay.

Who to blame? I was not ready for some blows

Not really struck with iron to slow

Someone would call a mission gone soar

But the kid vowed never to leave unexplored.

Beauty seemed to glitter

Although shy, she vowed to stand along

Much was unexplained in the mix

She always confused him with a beautiful twitch.

Like you, he was a little hesitant

Don’t assume anything for instance

She was glittering in the dark

However, the mind seemed to spark and burn.

A day spent away and together

Smiled away their worries to tether

Agility, optimism, and Jamaica would air

Promises came up running in the rain sometime later.

Near the trunk, turned around to look

Standing there like a worm on a hook

Waiting and hoping the beauty would come back

Her eyes seemed to sparkle as she smiled sometime back.

The poem is about a young man who meets a beautiful lady during a martial arts competition. The young man, Max, identifies the lady performing her action on the pitch and unknowingly falls in love. Later in the day as the competition goes for a break, Max has a constant monologue as he tries to silence the urge to approach the charm.

Incidentally, the lady sits next to him after her session is done and Max has to deal with the reality of approaching her or letting the admirers around them snatch the charm of his desire. Eventually, he steps out of his cocoon and says hey, starting the conversation which later remains the best encounter ever. As the day ends on a cold rainy evening, the couple of souls are struck by the sad reality of having to part and live to fight another day. All they can do now is hug tight under the dark clouds and billions of raindrops signifying the affection.
